Meetup Planner is a small tool for friends to agree on a place and time. It stores only what it needs to run a plan, and shows it only to people who have that plan's link.
What we store
- An anonymous ID created by Firebase Authentication so your votes stay yours. If you choose "Continue with Google", your Google display name and email address are attached to that ID.
- The name you enter (or your Google first name), shown next to your votes to the other people in the plan.
- Plan content: the plan title, places, time slots, votes, RSVP answers and settings. Anyone who has the plan link can read this.
- Invitation responses: whether you accepted or declined, your name and response time. The organiser can see who declined. Accepted events are saved to your account and remain in My events until the organiser marks them completed; they then appear in Past events. Declining removes the event from your homepage and clears your votes and attendance response, while retaining the invitation response.
- Place details from Google (name, address, rating, review count, review summary) for places added to a plan, kept alongside the plan and refreshed periodically.
- Your approximate location, only if you allow it when searching, and only to rank nearby results. It is not stored.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no tracking pixels, no selling or sharing of data with third parties beyond the services below.
- No contact list access, no reading of your messages.
Services we rely on
- Google Firebase (hosting, database, sign-in) — data is stored on Google's servers.
- Google Maps Platform (place search, ratings, review summaries) — subject to Google's privacy policy.
Deleting your data
The organiser can delete a plan from its settings, which removes the plan and every vote and RSVP in it. To have your account or name removed from all plans, email support@inaxol.com from the address you signed in with.
